About Us

What does an economist with a passion for photography and motorcycles have in common with a fundraising executive with a passion for philanthropy and the outdoors? Marriage for one, and a love of travel for the other. As U.S. moto enthusiasts, we combined our common interests to discover Romania.

Bidding goodbye to life in the U.S. and packing our possessions, we committed ourselves to this life-changing journey. Our sole mission was to meet Romania’s amazing people, experience the breathtaking countryside and historical treasures, and gain an insight into the country’s economy and people’s everyday life. We also wanted to share our time, our hearts, and our professional expertise with Caminul Felix Family Villages.

Our vehicle of choice was a stock 2004 Suzuki DL1000 V-Strom, with the hard luggage system. The only additions were Givi Crash bars and a SW-Motech center-stand. The motorcycle proved to be trusty, reliable and low-maintenance.
