This is another short stretch of road—only 52 kilometers. It runs from the spa town of Praid into Gheorgheni. It is generally more of a connecting road, but if you are in the area, it is worth a ride. The asphalt quality is good, since the road has been repaved in 2006.

For the most part, the road is scenic, riding over the Gurghiu Mountains. Entertaining, the ride is made up of tighter sweepers and sharp S-curves that run from one into the other, turning your forward movements into a rhythmic dance—left, right, left, right. The road’s highlight is the Bucin Pass located at an altitude of 1,287 meters. From there, the road moves into the village of Borzont and descends into Gheorgheni. Not a destination unto itself, but well worth the ride as part of a larger loop.
